The basic element of the floor heater construction made in System KAN‑therm Profil are insulation panels (foamed polystyrene boards) with factory-fitted elements fastening the heating pipes.

System KAN‑therm Profil does not require any additional elements or tools.

KAN-therm Profil thermal insulation

Several types of thermal insulation are available in the offer, depending on the needs of the investment and customer preferences.

Depending on the purpose of the room (floor load), foamed polystyrene boards can be used:

EPS 200 for floors with increased load such as conference and lecture halls
EPS T-24 dB for floors in rooms with strict requirements concerning sound-proofing, e.g. TV and recording studios

All Profil foamed polystyrene boards have special protrusions in their construction for fastening the heating pipes to the insulation.

KAN-therm Profil also offers the profiled foil with protrusions fastening the pipes. This product can be used as a fastening element for pipes in renovations, when you want to provide a room with underfloor heating.

The profiled construction of the foamed polystyrene boards makes it possible to install pipes with diameters of 16 and 18mm.

Foamed polystyrene boards are delivered in sheets of 0.8×1.4m and 0.6×1.2m.

The selection of a specific thermal insulation is made at the stage of designing the underfloor heating and cooling system.

Supplementary elements

The complete underfloor heating installation requires the use of additional materials to ensure safe operation:

Edge tape dividing the heating panel from the structural elements of the building.
Dilatation tape to divide large surfaces into smaller.
BETOKAN and BETOKAN Plus plasticizers increasing the resistance of the heating panel to excessive cracking during thermal operation
