1. What are KAN-therm BIM and CAD files?

They are a set of professional design materials, including 3D models, 2D drawings, and complete product family packages. All files are ready to use in popular design environments such as Autodesk Revit or CAD software. They help you prepare water and heating installation documentation faster.

2. What can you find in the “Downloads” section?

In the downloads section, we provide two main types of files:

BIM models (RVT format) – so-called System Sets: single files containing a complete set of families for a given KAN-therm system (ultraLINE, ultraPRESS, PP, Steel, Inox).

They are refined, consistent, and ready for immediate use in Revit 2022 or newer.

2D drawings (DWG format) – intended for use in CAD projects, enabling quick insertion of components and creation of traditional documentation.

Implementing the future of design.

3. What are KAN-therm System Sets?

System Sets are complete RVT and CAD files created specifically for designers. Each set contains a full range of fittings, accessories, and sizes appropriate for a given system. They represent the most up-to-date, reference version of KAN-therm product families.

Why use them?

  • One file = full system – download everything with a single click.
  • Complete range of sizes and components – quick verification of the full offer.
  • Refined geometry and parameters – much more detailed than earlier individual families.
  • Routing preferences set – elements are placed automatically during routing.
  • Built-in schedules – ready to be copied into your project.
  • Consistent naming and parameters – easier filtering, error checking, and quantity takeoffs.

4. How to use the available files?

It’s simple:

  • Go to the Downloads
  • Select the installation system you want to design.
  • Download the RVT file (System Set) or DWG drawings.
  • Open the downloaded Revit or DWG file and copy the required models or product drawings into your project.
  • Start designing – all families, parameters, and routing preferences are already prepared.

5. BIM – definition

BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a way of working based on creating and managing information about a building in a clear and structured manner.

It includes not only a 3D model, but also technical data, schedules, and analyses used at all stages of the project.

In practice, BIM integrates disciplines based on a single source of information, supports collaboration, improves coordination, and facilitates decision-making. It relies on data transparency, information consistency, collaboration, and tailoring the level of detail to the project’s purpose.

BIM is not just a technology – it is a set of principles and practices that support the creation of better designed, more efficient, and more sustainable buildings.
